Transformation Through the Menopause

“The most important investment you will ever make is in You!”

Menopause is often dreaded and feared by many women, it can bring a sense of loss, children leaving the nest, the loss of fertility, and our femininity. Many women become anxious and angry over this next stage in their lives, but in my view it is a time of transformation, a new stage in our lives and something to be celebrated.

I have to come clean now. I have been experiencing perimenopausal symptoms for about a year now, so I don't say this lightly. Through a Holistic approach I have more better days than challenging ones.

Many of my clients are going through different stages of the menopause and I wanted to offer even more support to them, so I furthered my knowledge by completing the course on Menopause, Reflexology and Life Style, which is what I’ve implemented with myself.

We are all unique and not one of use will have the same experience

Symptoms can vary from woman to woman

  • A gradual decrease in periods or abrupt ending to them

  • Frequent UTI’s - Vaginal Dryness - Urine Leakage

  • Hot flushes - Night Sweets

  • Dizziness

  • Mood Changes,

  • Achy Muscles

  • Fatigue

  • Anxiety - Depression

  • Decrease in Sex Drive

  • Forgetfulness

  • Weight Gain

  • Cracked Heels - Fungal Infections

  • Insomnia

The list is only touching the surface of what many women experience and for some women, these can be so severe as to be really debilitating, and the symptoms can go on for years.

Menopause is officially diagnosed when a woman has not menstruated for a full year, and the period before that is known as perimenopause. During perimenopause, ovulation becomes less regular and estrogen levels decrease and our progesterone levels fluctuate.

There is good news reflexology can support you through your transformation

The good news for women going through this transformation is that Reflexology can be really beneficial at this time. Reflexology is excellent at helping to balance hormone levels in the body, which in turn will help manage the symptoms of menopause.

The menopause support system I offer through reflexology will work the Endocrine System, Lymphatic System, Parasympathetic Nervous System, Anxiety Support Sequence, and much more depending on the individuals needs.

“The most important investment you will ever make is in You!”

My advice to women who are experiencing perimenopause or menopausal symptoms is to prioritise self-care.

Listen to your bodies rhythms, and obey your need for rest. Nourish yourself with a plant-based diet where possible. Take as much exercise as you can manage, and be kind to yourself, if the symptoms are so severe one day, that you just can’t manage it.

The combination of a healthy lifestyle a balanced diet, exercise, rest and Reflexology is often enough to help women manage their symptoms.

I look forward to working alongside you on your journey to well-being and finding balance within.

Much Love Clare xx

I have been having regular reflexology sessions with Clare to help with the menopause. I have found her to be caring and very knowledgeable. She has helped to rebalance my hormones, reduce my anxiety and improve my sleep.
I would highly recommend Clare.
